The media and political opponents are having a field day making fun of John Edwards’s haircuts. I’m not defending his hypocrisy for running as the candidate who understands the poor while living the opulent life. If he has the wealth to pay $1200 for a haircut, more power to him.

Where's the fairness in the reporting of the media on the candidates?
The media and political opponents are having a field day making fun of John Edwards’s haircuts. I’m not defending his hypocrisy for running as the candidate who understands the poor while living the opulent life. If he has the wealth to pay $1200 for a haircut, more power to him. In the end he is just trying to improve his appearance.

But why hasn’t the media commented of the remarkable change in appearance of the 1970’s Hillary Rodham and the 2007 Hillary Rodham Clinton? To suggest that she has had cosmetic enhancement would be an understatement. And no one has investigated how much it cost her.
So until the media criticizes female candidates for appearance enhancement it shouldn’t criticize male candidates.
