From Our Writers:
Many Marxist still argue that the proletariat is needed along with the Communist Party to carry off a successful socialist revolution. Nevertheless, the changing nature of the proletariat has been a problem for these Marxist theorists.
In advanced capitalist countries like the United States, the traditional proletariat of 19th century factory workers is not present, so a new proletariat has to be found. In the 1960s it was thought to be disenchanted college students. Today, the Obama for President campaign has decided on another vision of the proletariat to carry off its revolution of change.
Because Barack Obama has his political base in Chicago, it seems obvious that his plan to be elected president is no different from the plan that got him elected as senator from Illinois. In short, it calls for manipulating a New Proletariat and the "Chicagofication" of the nation.
Senator Obama has the most liberal voting record of any U. S. Senator. He also spent 20 years as a member of a church that teaches liberation theology, an offshoot of Marxist theory. Marxist theory and socialism buzz around the sweet words of the senator like bees around honey.
The senator is also advised by those under the influence of community organizer Saul Alinsky. In ''Rules for Radicals ,'' Alinsky wrote: "There's another reason for working inside the system...Any revolutionary change must be preceded by a passive, affirmative, non-challenging attitude toward change among the mass of our people."
Senator Obama got elected to the U. S. Senate by identifying and encouraging a New Proletariat made up of urban black voters, white intellectuals who hate America, and college students. This is his Hyde Park constituency. It is this same constituency on a national level that will make up the New Proletariat he hopes will carry him into the Oval Office.
Besides the support of the New Proletariat, Senator Obama needs to seize control of the Democrat Party and get the support of the national media. He seems well on his way to accomplishing this. If Obama succeeds, there will be a purge of the Old Democrats represented by Senator Hillary Clinton and her political allies, and then a blind acceptance by the media of the Obama candidacy.
Once the Marxist wing of the Democrat Party is swept into office the Chicagofication of the nation will begin. The Marxists in the purged Democrat Party will begin to "change America and the world."
This change will resemble the closed government that is Chicago, or the old Marxists regimes that distinguished Eastern Europe. The sole purpose of the Obama government will be to keep his government in power the same way Chicago has been run by the same government for more than 50 years.
There is a large government bureaucracy in Chicago that deals with parking tickets and traffic management. It has been estimated that all the revenue from parking tickets, parking meters, and fines collected in Chicago goes to pay and support the bureaucracy needed to issue these tickets and manage traffic in the city. This means the purpose of the traffic management program in Chicago is not to make traffic flow better but to make jobs.
Government is one of the biggest employers in Chicago on all levels, not just traffic management. Once someone gets a Chicago government job, self-interest means he will vote for the political party that got him the job. This is why Democrats stay in power in Chicago. With all the city jobs, the Democrats have at least a 350,000 vote advantage from the start.
The plan for "slow socialism" and a big federal government imagined by Senator Obama will work on a national level the same way it works in Chicago on a local level. This plan calls for a New Proletariat of voters made up of urban blacks, America-hating white liberals and intellectuals, college students, and the generally disaffected to sweep Senator Obama into office as President of the United States.
Then, the elitists among the party will run the nation and manage the proletariat the way the Communist Party used to manage Bulgaria. The nation will be divided into the "glamor zone" of a Lakefront and the "war zone" of a West Side. It will become evident that Karl Marx has a good student in Senator Obama and those who advise him.
