No longer should Americans strive to be successful, put good food on the table for their children, or drive the car of their choice.  If we do, the people of France won’t like us and polar bears will require CPR because of the oft-happened-before "global warming" crisis.

 

      Yes, my fellow Americans, we should strive to be a third world county so that the peoples of the world will like us.

 

      Obama’s new slogan for America is not to work to achieve the American dream.  No, Americans should strive to be--mediocre.  We should strive to drive little tiny cars that aren’t safe, live off home-grown carrots and radishes, suffer the heat and humidity of July and August, and do it all proudly.  Russians and Cubans will like us better if we are as poor as they are.

 

      France gets nearly all of its electricity from nuclear power, not coal burning electric plants.  Every year dozens of French seniors die from the heat after being left behind while the kids take a month off for vacation, leaving Gramma unattended in some sweltering apartment.  In 2003, over 15 thousand elderly died in the month of August alone.  Maybe the French are just too cheap to buy air conditioning.  But, if Americans follow Obama’s advice, our elderly should not be allowed to bask in an air conditioned home. They should be brave like the French seniors and attempt to survive in 130 degree heat so that those in third world countries won’t blame America for global warming or be jealous of our central air conditioning.  No, Americans should not strive to make life in third world countries better, we should make our lives worse. That’s the new American way.

 

      Polar bears have quadrupled in number since the 1960s despite that 0.5 increase in mean temperatures around the world.  How those bears have been able to withstand the heat-wave is something liberal scientists are still contemplating.  But liberals all agree that American greed is killing those polar bears off--despite the fact that there are more of them now than there has been in decades.  Liberal logic at its best.

 

      Perhaps Obama is referring to China, a country whose air is so filthy its citizens often wear masks while outside and some Olympic athletes have stated that they will only remove the mask long enough for their event because of the pollution.  A few long-distance runners are refusing to run at all, fearing life-long lung damage.  Beijing is the world’s most polluted city.

 

      Are we to strive to be like India, a country that is one of the world’s largest users of fossil fuels and makers of air and water pollution?  A country where in some of poorer areas children play in open sewers in the streets?

 

      How about closer to home--Mexico.  One of the greatest problems that America faces is dealing with illegal Mexicans who pour over our border because living on the streets in America is still better then life in their own country.  Every water source that crosses the border from Mexico to America is rife with Mexican pollution and raw sewage.  The trail of trash and filth left behind when those illegals cross our border threatens wildlife, destroys property, and costs millions of taxpayer dollars to clean up.

 

      Satellite photos from space have clearly shown that the major contributors to world pollution are Africa, North Eastern China, and South East Asia--NOT America.  There was also what was called "pollution chimneys" from major cities in North America (including Mexico and Canada) AND all across Europe.

 

      So, coming back to the outrageous statement made by Barack Obama, why should Americans lower their living standards while the rest of the world pollutes at will?  Why should Americans suffer as members of the United Nations jet around the world and ride in limousines around New York City, tut-tutting about how Americans are ruining the planet?

 

      Will Americans riding bicycles stop the children in Calcutta from dying from dysentery or the measles?

 

      What is the real mind-set of Barack Obama?  What, exactly, is his vision for America?

 

      Obama’s vision, as it has been divulged so far seems to be:

 

1)  Punish the wealthy and successful

2)  Double the capital gains tax, which will affect millions of middle-class Americans

3)  Punish middle-class Americans who do not conform to his view of Marxist/socialism by telling them what they can eat and drive

4)  Dictate to American corporations what they will be allowed to pay their CEOs

5)  Turn back the hands of time and push America back into the dark ages so that the cyclone-ravaged survivors of Burma won’t hate us.

6)  Hold hands with our enemies, smile, and reassure them that he will have our military neutered within a year of taking office so that they will not feel threatened.

 

      The simple fact is that America is and always will be the envy of the world.  Why is it that way?  It’s that way because Americans have worked hard to make it that way.  Americans have shed blood, sweat, and tears to maintain our freedoms and lifestyle and is astonishing for some liberal idiot to suggest that we throw it all away and live in a sewer like half the world.

 

      No country of America’s size has done more to curb pollution than we have.  No country in the world does more than America to help feed the hungry, vaccinate poor children against disease, come to the aid of those in peril or dying in a disaster.  While few offer to assist the United States when we have a natural disaster, we are always the first to give food, money, medicine, and clothing to those in need.  It is this unbridled generosity that helps make us great.

 

      But, Barack Obama wants us to give all that up and become as lazy, useless, over-heated, and under-fed as the rest of the world so the people of Europe won’t feel so guilty when they ignore genocide in Sudan, starvation in Calcutta, and gay men being hung in Iran.  It’s the politically correct thing to do.

 

      It seems that if there is pollution, much of the world opinion is that America is the only cause.  If there is global warming, America being a wealthy country is at fault.  If there is a war, we are either the cause or are expected to stop it.  We are the only remaining superpower.  Russia, England, and France hate that. We have the finest and best equipped military in the world and the Islamic countries hate that.  Dictators, who spend every penny oppressing their people and keeping themselves in power while living in luxury themselves, hate us because capitalism works.

 

      So America, be prepared.  If Obama is elected, he will pick your pockets, downgrade your home and car, and wave the flag of mediocrity proudly for all the world to see.  Take heart, peoples of the world, if the liberals have their way, we will soon be down in the mud with you.  The only problem with that is, who will bail you out and send help when you have a natural disaster or some rogue neighbor invades you?  Hey, we will be asking your help so perhaps Europe should be careful what it wishes for: A mediocre United States won’t be there to clean up the world’s latest mess.  God forbid, the other countries of the world may actually have to do something instead of chiding the United States for not doing enough.
