I wish I could say that things were happier in Sacramento. The State Legislature was summoned for an emergency meeting yesterday to debate Governor Schwarzenegger's tax hike and proposed budget. I'm proud of my Republican colleagues who stood unanimously against the measures.
Conservatives will continue to hold the line on tax increases that would devastate California's weak economy and demand a full and thorough review of California's bloated budget.
Today, the San Jose Mercury News quoted my comments on the Assembly floor:
"We have not shut down one program... everything grows, year after year, like clockwork."

With that said, I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend and that your families gather and thank God for the great opportunities we have in America.
I have been privileged to represent a half million people in California in the State Assembly and, as you may have heard, I'm working to unseat Barbara Boxer in 2010. I recognize that times are tight but any help you could offer would truly be thankfully received!
