I do know that Juval Aviv is real, but as to the validity of prior predictions coming true, I’ve no idea.  As with fortune tellers, mediums, and modern day prophets, the general rule is that if your throw out enough predictions and make them general enough, some are bound to be hits.  

        I have made but one prediction, but it seems to parallel Juval’s.  On 08/3/09 I wrote an article for ChronWatch titled “The Coming Attack on the U.S.” which predicted (now within months) a massive Islamic attack on our country, for reasons I explained.  My prediction was not “one of many,” nor was it based, as Juval claims, on any intelligence (other than that residing in my skull).  

        There is that old saying that “hindsight is 20/20.”  We can always see clearly, after the fact, that “we should have seen this coming” because it was “so obvious.” 

        Then there is “foresight.” We see former VP Dick Cheney on television, seemingly on a non-stop rant and rage about all we are ignoring concerning the Islamic Terrorists threats that he envisions.  It is seen by many in the media as everything from him defending the tactics of the Bush administration to nothing more than beating on Obama.  Cheney is a highly intelligence man who gained great success in the private sector and who just spent eight years at the pinnacle of world power and privy to the very best of intelligence.  He is not on a rant!  There is nothing, absolutely nothing, to be gained from what he is doing that in any way benefits him.  He is simply warning us.

        Juval predicts bombings where large groups of people gather.  Such conventional bombing attacks would cause thousands of deaths and strike fear into the hearts of Americans.  He contends that bombings in rural areas would be done to show that no one anywhere was safe.  I could buy that if the attacks were to make us afraid, but is that the real intent of the Islamic Terrorists?

        It is here that I disagree with Juval.  He sees things through the eyes of an Israeli.  The reality is that Israel is a small country in the Middle East that has been in a long and constant war with radical Muslims in the area.  That war is ongoing and simply moves from high level to low level combat.

        We have not had a terrorist attack in eight years.  What do you think the terrorists have been doing during that time? Nothing?

        If their “intent” was to make us afraid there would have been many attacks following 9/11.  They surely have the resources to accomplish Oklahoma City type bombings, one after another, or random killings such as the D.C. Sniper.  They did not do so.

        The true “intent” of the Islamic Terrorists is to bring down the Great Satan, to destroy the United States.  Isn’t this what we really saw in the 9/11 attacks?  They attacked our financial center in NYC, our military at the Pentagon. and tried to hit the center of government power, but due to American heroes, missed the Capital.  They were aiming at “nerve centers.”

        It is said that theft is like adultery, 99% opportunity and 1% intent.  We do know the true intent of the Islamic Terrorists and there is now before them an unbelievable opportunity. 

        Winter is coming. You can’t count on a heat wave where people would die from a lack of A/C when the power goes out, but you can count of freezing temperatures in the winter.

        The H1N1 Flu pandemic and delay of vaccines only adds to the timing and opportunity, as the worse of the flu is due in the winter months.

        Our economy is already on it knees.  Wait a year and we’ll recover from this recession, but hit us now and the dollar could tumble.  Many businesses, right at this moment are now hanging on by a thread.  Our economy is so weakened that even Juval’s prediction of multiple conventional bombs could tumble us into a deep depression.  After such an attack, no one is shopping.  However, with a massive attack (possibly nuclear) the stock market would freefall and tens of thousands of businesses would shut their doors. Unemployment would instantly skyrocket

        If our economy tanks, no one is buying our bonds! What then?

        Our government is weak.  If we were attacked what would we do and what could we do?

The answer is nothing! 

        And what is government doing now?  Making matters worse!  Yes, government is driving us into a deep abyss of a national debt that we can never get out of, but that is a long term problem.  In the short term government has pushed the dollar right to the edge.  The edge of collapse!  Our government turns a blind eye to our open borders.  Forget the Mexicans coming over to work on farms or in factories.  Who else and what else is coming across?  Go to any city, town, village, or hamlet in the U.S. and you can obtain illegal drugs that have been smuggled into this country.  Common sense tells you that if poorly educated farm workers from Mexico can get in and travel freely in the U.S. and if drug dealers can maintain a nationwide distribution system for a consumable, that there’s not much of a challenge there for Islamic terrorists.

        I pray to God I am wrong!  I pray that Juval is wrong, and that Cheney is wrong.  I would like to believe that our FBI, CIA, NSA, and Homeland Security have everything under control.  Juval tells us the Islamic Terrorists are never again going to attempt a hijacking of airliners and I believe that.  He foresees conventional explosives left in crowded areas in suitcases, or suicide bombers.  If the Islamic Terrorists’ intent was low level warfare and instilling fear and panic, they would have been doing that over the past eight years.  Consider that near 70% of our population lives in or around our ten largest cities.  Just ten terrorist snipers would have a paralyzing effect.  The clear intent is not fear, it is to destroy America.  And, they know the economy is our Achilles Heel.

        Do you want a sneak peek of the obvious “we should have seen that coming”?  Here is just one example:  I’m a commercial pilot, so this is fact-based.

        To rent an aircraft you need to have a valid pilot’s license and pass a checkout.  Those are small planes.  To rent a large aircraft like a Lear jet you need to be “type rated” in that specific airplane and then pass an extensive checkout.  However, if you buy a large aircraft, no one is going to check anything.  You can just get in and fly it off!

        Suppose you buy a large aircraft in a foreign country and load up your bombs. You file a “flight plan” for an Airport of Entry in the U. S.  Anyone, from anywhere can fly into the U.S. as long as he has filed a flight plan to an Airport of Entry.  As of 2008, additional information if required at least 60 minutes prior to departure, but nothing the average commercial pilot couldn’t easily handle.  There were over 130,000 privately owned foreign aircraft flown into the U.S. last year and I could not find a record of even one being denied entry.  That’s an average of 370 flights every day!

        And, no problem if you have to stop for fuel in route; you are not checked by customs and immigrations in most countries if you are not disembarking.  U.S. air traffic controllers will guide in directly over the city where your Airport of Entry is located: LA, San Francisco, NYC, Chicago, Las Vegas, DC, Atlanta, etc.  If you have a nuke on board you can do an air burst over the city and have the added advantage of an EM pulse, which will kill all electronics.  Or, if your plane is simply stuffed to the gills with C-4 you can hit a tall building, a stadium, a nuclear power plant or other American target.

        I pray that I am 100% dead wrong on this.  It is my hope that in four or five months all of you will consider me: a crackpot, conspiracy nut, lunatic, fool, or idiot.  And, I hope all of you are alive to do so.
