By Lisa Fabrizio | Published 01/28/2010 | From Our Writers | Unrated
History has struggled to identify these voters for decades, ever since the left started making bold yet covert moves to draw our country into the socialist web woven by FDR and fomented by the radical 1960s.  Nixon called them ''the silent majority,'' but after the failed presidency of Jimmy Carter, they were dubbed ''Reagan Democrats.''
» Are Some More Equal Than Others?

Many broadcasters, like Turner Classic Movies,  featured the films of Frank Capra this season--particularly his Christmas saga, "It's a Wonderful Life."  Capra, a naturalized American citizen who fought in two wars for his adopted country, was famous for his optimism and his emphasis on the value of the individual versus that of powerful interests.

And so the new decade begins much like the last one: with the death of a dozen or so American servicemen--this time on our own soil--in the war between Islamic fundamentalism and western civilization--a war that our current president doesn’t seem to have the stomach even to acknowledge, much less fight.  Welcome to 2010.

The latest allegations by numerous women involved in the Tiger Woods flap took many folks by surprise, including me.  I bought into his external show of gentlemanliness and thought that he might be one of the few celebrities of his generation who were exempt from our poisonous modern culture which prescribes self-gratification and sex on demand as the way to live life to its fullest.
» "Yes, Virginia"

As we talk about the ‘'war on Christmas,'' which we are coerced to do every year, we generally focus on the efforts of the ACLU and its ilk to continue its assaults on the symbols of the holiday.  From coast to coast, lawyers are lining up to snatch away the visions of sugarplums that might otherwise dance in the heads of American children.

So a man and his wife have some kind of falling out late in the evening after a long and claustrophobic Thanksgiving Day and he, in a pique of frustration, grabs the car keys and makes a beeline for some breathing room.

The fact is that Barack Obama could never have been elected without a great number of votes from white Americans who were willing to elect him despite his utter lack of experience.  Let’s face it, Obama’s foremost qualification was that he’d bring something different to the presidency: he is black.
» We Win, They Lose
By Lisa Fabrizio | Published 11/13/2009 | From Our Writers | Unrated
One of Ronald Reagan’s greatest campaign ads was called “The Bear,” which warned of the perils of ignoring one’s enemies, and his strategy for winning the Cold War was simple: “We win, they lose.”
