Rich Stowell

Rich Stowell teaches at the University of San Francisco and at a high school in Richmond, Calif. He became a ChronWatch writer when he was a student leader at a Bay Area university. Rich began teaching in 2004, but enlisted in the Army National Guard in 2007. After serving as a broadcast journalist on a deployment to Kosovo, he returned to the classroom. He is the author of "Nine Weeks: A Teacher's Education in Army Basic Training" and "My Public Affairs," an Army blog.

Of course, the educrats want government to guarantee, even mandate, education services for all. It would supply them with endless clients, and presumably the taxpayers would foot the bill. At the same time these interested parties are insisting on education for all as a right, they demand better compensation packages from the state.
