» Fear of Obama's "Civilian National Security Force"
By Selwyn Duke | Published Yesterday | From Our Writers | Rating:
Most of us have heard Obama state that "We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded" as the military.  This alone is enough to send shivers up an informed spine, but it gets even worse when you hear the specifics.
» The Terrorist Attack of 2010
By Selwyn Duke | Published 10/26/2008 | From Our Writers | Rating:
The date is November 9, 2010, and you turn on the radio to listen to the news over morning coffee. Nuclear devices have been detonated almost simultaneously in New York City, Chicago, and Los Angeles.  Tens of thousands are dead or dying, and millions more are being evacuated, owing to radioactive contamination that will now make huge swaths of the cities uninhabitable.
» Barack Obama's "Campaign of the Lie"
By Selwyn Duke | Published 10/18/2008 | From Our Writers | Rating:
Barack Obama may be the most radically-left major-party presidential nominee in our nation's history.  A recent analysis of voting records showed that the senator owned the most left-wing record in the Senate in 2007, ahead of even that avowed socialist, Vermont senator Bernie Sanders.
» Does Pro-life Now Mean Pro-Libertinism?
By Selwyn Duke | Published 10/3/2008 | From Our Writers | Rating:
It is certainly true that the stigma once attached to unwed motherhood has gone the way of the dodo.
» Is the Presidency Above Obama's Pay Grade?
By Selwyn Duke | Published 08/28/2008 | From Our Writers | Rating:
Speaking of inhaling, before casting a vote for Obama, a deep breath and a 10-count may be in order.  Because whatever his pay grade is, I'm quite sure that we cannot afford to have him in the White House.
» Why the John Edwards Affair Matters
By Selwyn Duke | Published 08/15/2008 | From Our Writers | Rating:
Many people will defend the character-doesn’t-matter position by self-assuredly saying that the only relevant factor is that a person is competent.  This is a nice fantasy; it’s a bit like saying it doesn’t matter if a computer has corrupted files as long as the hardware is top-notch.
» Barack Obama and Defining Anti-Americanism Downward
By Selwyn Duke | Published 08/5/2008 | From Our Writers | Rating:
As per my mother’s injunction, there is a time and a place for criticizing family--this includes national family.  Obama can argue against waterboarding, but it should be done in-house, not overseas in front of a throng of screaming, anti-American foreigners.
» Barack Obama and Equal Pay for Women
By Selwyn Duke | Published 07/18/2008 | From Our Writers | Rating:
What do you call a man who sermonizes about the evils of paying women less than men but allows that very practice in his own office?  While a certain unflattering noun would leap to the minds of most, we can now apply a proper one: Barack Obama.
» A Socialist by Any Other Name...
By Selwyn Duke | Published 06/24/2008 | From Our Writers | Rating:
For years I've been telling people that most of our Democrats are essentially socialists; sure, either they won't admit it publicly or aren't fully aware of it themselves (quite common; self knowledge is often sorely lacking, especially among leftists).
» Unfair and Unbalanced
By Selwyn Duke | Published 04/18/2008 | From Our Writers | Rating:
The phrase "fair and balanced" certainly has a positive connotation.  It is thought to be the greatest quality a news outlet can possess.  It has even become a motto of the Fox News Network.
