         Once again, the dear ole' Chron tosses journalistic principles out the window to protect its preferred candidate.  There is every indication, however, that the Chronicle will go bankrupt long before the coal industry.

           Anyone who has watched Joe Biden over 35 years in the Senate might have a little bit of trouble recognizing the guy who is running to be Barack Obama's Vice President.  Oh, yes, he looks like the same fellow. But traveling with Biden during this campaign has sometimes been like reporting on a politician packaged in shrink-wrap.

             Senator Obama has stated very clearly what kinds of Supreme Court justices he wants--those with "the empathy to understand what it's like to be poor, or African-American, or gay, or disabled, or old."   Do we really want judges who decide cases based on who you are, rather than on the facts and the law?
