Kudos to Judge Lamberth for exposing the president's executive order for what it really is: a thinly-veiled, ideologically motivated attempt at an end run around the Constitution.

The growing opposition to plans for a Muslim cultural center and mosque near Ground Zero have prompted some on the left to speak out in defense of religious freedom in America.
» Ideology vs. Reality
By Ken Connor | Published 08/19/2010 | From Our Writers | Unrated
The dog days of summer are upon us, and as autumn approaches and the midterm elections loom, the American people have many important issues on their minds.  One of the most important issues is whether Congress will elect to extend the Bush-era tax cuts, which are due to expire on January 1, 2011.
» The Courts or the Constitution: Which Is to Be the Master?
By Ken Connor | Published 08/14/2010 | From Our Writers | Unrated
Despots come in all sizes and shapes and their robes aren't always purple.  Sometimes they are black.  Do Americans today have the courage and conviction of our forebears?  Do we have what it takes to secure our freedom?  Will we be governed by the courts or by the Constitution?

» A Misguided Decision Regarding Arizona
By Ken Connor | Published 07/24/2010 | From Our Writers | Unrated
Hopefully the people of Arizona will prevail in their battle to protect their borders and their property.  Other states are poised to follow suit.  When all is said and done, it's likely that it will be the president, not the people of Arizona, who was guilty of making a misguided decision.

» The Failing Fourth Estate
By Ken Connor | Published 07/4/2010 | From Our Writers | Unrated
What price do the American people pay for the symbiotic relationship between the media and Washington?  Quite simply, we can't trust that the primary sources of information used to form our political opinions are accurate, objective, or complete.  Compromised news is no news at all.
» Too Big to Care?

It's been a rough few weeks for BP CEO Tony Hayward.  Watching the embattled executive weather several hours of angry cross-examination on Capitol Hill last week, one almost felt sorry for the man.  After all, it's difficult to take an ethical lecture seriously when its coming from the nation's most scandal-ridden, least-trustworthy body of elected representatives.
» Washington's Double Standard
By Ken Connor | Published 06/23/2010 | From Our Writers | Unrated
What the voters must realize is that we don't need a constitutional amendment to make our representatives change the way they do business.  All we need to do is show up on election day and change who we send there.

» Will We Become a "Banana Republic"?
By Ken Connor | Published 06/12/2010 | From Our Writers | Unrated
We had better confront the answers to these questions soon, or we will soon not recognize what was once our great country.
