It has been a few years now since the government had a huge push to get people interested in solar energy. I remember that we were given a substantial tax credit for the purchase of solar panels and I took the bait.
There is nothing wrong with going "green" and there is nothing new about it either. This is what our grandparents practiced and it was just called good sense and frugal living.
The federal government has the same problem of being deeply in debt, ten trillion or so, and having millions of square miles of unused, uncared for, and excess government land including 90% of the state of Alaska and huge portions of many other states as well, including California.
