» Crimes and Misdemeanors
By Burt Prelutsky | Published Yesterday | From Our Writers | Unrated
The fact remains that Jerry Brown, who was dubbed “Governor Moonbeam” by the late Chicago columnist Mike Royko, has spent his entire adult life running for everything but the bus.
» Mysteries Solved, Lies Refuted
By Burt Prelutsky | Published 08/29/2010 | From Our Writers | Unrated
Those on the left have made every attempt to tar those on the right as racists.  They have done it so often and so ineptly that by now I doubt if even the rabid likes of Chris Matthews, Joy Behar, and Rachel Maddow, take it seriously.
» Keeping Tabs on Libs
By Burt Prelutsky | Published 08/25/2010 | From Our Writers | Unrated
When it comes to liberals, there are simply not enough hours in a day for one person to record all of their mischief.  Speaking for myself, even if I had a staff the size of Mrs. Obama's staff, I’d probably still fall behind.
» Wringing the Bell
By Burt Prelutsky | Published 08/21/2010 | From Our Writers | Unrated

I have long been intrigued with the final words uttered by those on their actual or figurative deathbeds.  The trouble, of course, is that you never know if the words were spontaneous or rehearsed, whether they were really spoken aloud, or were conjured up after the fact by someone who hoped to gain for himself a piece of anonymous immortality by acting as a  giving-up-the-ghost writer.
» Left-Wingers and the People Who Hate Them
By Burt Prelutsky | Published 08/14/2010 | From Our Writers | Unrated
Now I know how liberals felt 40 years ago when they failed to make the cut on Richard Nixon’s notorious enemies list.  Even after reading Townhall Magazine’s list of the 100 Americans the Left Hates the Most, and checking it twice, I didn’t find my name mentioned.

By Burt Prelutsky | Published 08/11/2010 | From Our Writers | Unrated
Why are liberals more hostile to Tea Party members than they are to Islamic terrorists, and more frightened of secondhand smoke than they are of Iran nuking Tel Aviv?
» Obama's Chosen People
By Burt Prelutsky | Published 08/7/2010 | From Our Writers | Unrated

Apparently, one of Obama’s orders to NASA was to reach out to Muslim nations, celebrating them for their contributions to science, math, and engineering.  So, in short order, we’ve gone from reaching for the moon to reaching for Tehran.

» Bumper Stickers for 2010
By Burt Prelutsky | Published 08/4/2010 | From Our Writers | Unrated
I’d like to suggest another bumper sticker:  “Nobody who has ever demonstrated against capital punishment has ever been a murder victim.  (But there’s still time.)”
» $5 Million Going Once...Going Twice...
By Burt Prelutsky | Published 07/31/2010 | World Affairs | Unrated
Until recently, I had been totally unaware of Mohamed (Mo) Ibrahim’s existence, and had never heard that, through his foundation, he funds the world’s single largest cash award.
