Dear Mr. President:
The article in opinioneditorials.com by Dan Abbett reflects my feelings perfectly:
Democrats have developed an interesting and apparently effective political strategy. By constantly ridiculing, demonizing and slandering the president, with gleeful participation by the mainstream media, they have cowed the timid Republicans into breaking with the Bush Administration and hastened a Lame Duck Presidency.
By utilizing a constant drumbeat of negativity and propaganda to create public animosity toward the president in an election year, they have fractured Republican support for his policies. By so doing, they have created a de facto majority.
After you read
all of the article, you will see why I wrote the following letter to our President:
Dear Mr. President!
You need to strike back! You MUST make a major Oval Office speech, informing the American people AND THE WORLD, that you were RIGHT about Saddam's WMDs, and that there is now proof positive of how much he had, and how he spirited it out of Iraq during the run-up to the war.
This information is critical to renewing your own credibility which has been whittled down to below 40% by the incessant lies of the liberal media together with unprincipled Democrat "leaders."
We who comprise your faithful, loyal base are becoming increasingly alarmed at your unwillingness to REACT forcefully to the wholly destructive aims and deceitful tactics employed by the enemies of us all - liberal media and Democrats!
You have been a political WINNER for many years. To remain the stupendous president that you are, you must protect yourself and our cause by beginning to fight back. We are counting on you. Please don't let us down. Nothing less than the future of America depends upon a new resolve on your part to expose the lies of your pernicious political opponents.
You have the FACTS at your disposal! USE THEM!
Sincerely,
Charlotte Baker
