Did you see the story that European imans have pledged to work hard to prove that Islam and democracy can work together.

European imams have pledged to work harder to prove that Islam is compatible with democracy and that the majority of Muslims living in the West support human rights, free speech and pluralism.

More than 130 prayer leaders from across the continent, in a meeting sponsored by Austria as the current president of the European Union, agreed that Islamic theologians in Europe must do more to establish that their faith does not clash with Western values.

The declaration published yesterday amounted to a catalog of homegrown moderate views that Western politicians have been urging Muslim leaders to draw up as a bulwark against radical Islamic ideologies from the Middle East.

I'm very skeptical of this. It looks exactly like the sudden abundance of American flags being carried today by the same people, who expressed such blatant anti-Americanism only a week ago, when they brazenly flew Mexican flags. "Moderate Muslims" in Europe have figured out that they have to fly the right flags, if they want to gnaw away undetected at the foundations of western civilization. The Koran plainly instructs Muslims to use any and all devices to deceive "the infidel" in the endless advancement of islamic conquest of the world. I will never trust these people. This new movement is ridiculous. It sounds like barbarians who have been brutally, rigidly totalitarian for 1,400 years have suddenly learned the music and lyrics to "Qumbaya" and just love such a nice little song.
