Liberals love to schmooze on and on and on about their concern for the underdog in society. It has finally dawned on me that this is a cover-up for their true motivation. The truth is, liberals hate America, and they detest what it stands for. In their mind, the actions of this country create all these opportunities for passionate liberal concern. Domestically, liberals see American society as mistreating whole segments of its citizenry: blacks, minorities, gays, the poor, the homeless, etc. Liberals feel it is their duty to protect those so abused by the society we Americans have created. Internationally, liberals see Americans as imperialists who go around the world bullying other countries in their own self interest. All of our actions are driven to fulfill greedy corporate objectives. For example, Americans love war and take great pleasure in inflicting casualties on innocent civilians. This goes back to 1968 when John Kerry described our soldiers by saying they killed civilians indiscriminately, raped randomly, and inflicted all manner of crime on innocent people. This is the image of our soldiers that persists today in liberal minds. As a result, liberals watch eagerly for the next My Lai to prove their point. Abu Ghraib and Haditha made their day. This is what they have been hoping for. Another incident proving yet again that American society is all about doing evil things to innocent people. Then, they can hit the streets in protest hoping to embarrass the country into admitting its wrong doing. In that respect, Vietnam was the liberal’s high water mark. They feel they brought America to its knees, and it has shaped their lives ever since. The Kerrys and the Fondas never got over this defining moment. Now, Iraq has become the new Vietnam-styled opportunity to again prove the evil nature of American society. Liberal score keeping in Iraq is the perfect example. Many, many, many good things are done by our soldiers to help the Iraqi people. Yet, the liberal score keepers don’t acknowledge those examples. Instead, they eagerly await with chalk in hand for a misstep, the next My Lai. When it happens, or even appears to happen, as in Haditha, they leap into action decrying the horrendous acts. Their pent up outrage is something to behold. Our soldiers are presented in moral equivalency to the slaughter of innocent civilians and the beheadings by Zarqawi. In fact, by the time the media works over the incident, American soldiers are the evil doers and Zarqawi is portrayed as simply an activist fighting for his noble cause the only way he knows how. Is anybody seriously thinking about turning control of this country over to people who hate it so fervently?
